Lake Manor is a 58-room retreat for walking, reading, dining and doing very little indeed. Our hosts can arrange a boat on the water, boots by the door or simply a table beside the fire.

The heart of the manor moves gently through the day: breakfast by the windows, afternoon tea after a walk, then modern British cooking and a fire-lit nightcap.

Afternoon tea 2.00 pm–5.00 pm
Out in the landscape
Walk from the door.
Return to the fire.
Follow the lakeshore before breakfast, take a picnic into the fells or cross the water in a private launch. We will map a route to suit the weather and your pace.
